Your delivery can be the major difference between a memorable chorus and a forgettable one.

Let's talk a little bit about upping your catchiness when you write a rap hook.

When writing a verse, you have to be pretty succinct with word choice.

You have to make sure that the audience is following the story you're telling precisely.

If you don't, you run the risk of them tuning you out or changing the song.

The verse is the most lyrically dense part of the song, and so you can experiment less with the way you choose to deliver it.

This is not to say you can't experiment with it, or shouldn't...

...But it's much harder to be experimental with delivery in a verse than the chorus if it's a lyrically packed song.

Now, the chorus, because it is shorter, simpler, and more broad in the topics it discusses...

...The chorus can be much more trial-and-error with voice tones.

In this case, what I'd like you to do is experiment with exteeeeending and shortening your delivery when you do this chorus.

This means make certain words looooonger in the way you say them and shrtr when you say them to make it more memorable.

Funny voice, unpredictable tones, etc. make the words of the simple chorus stand out to the audience and make them more likely to sing or rap along with them.
